I am a licensed real estate agent that is not practicing due to not paying the start up fees. I am also with Kiavi as a independent Mortgage broker. Any tips on how i can get started as a referral agent is welcomed and as a for mortgage broker. I do not have a car but i am working on that. Feel free to add me on Linked In

Hello Chidubem,
I believe you will need to renew your license in order to collect any referral fees. If you're going to focus on being a referral agent, you'll need to build and regularly follow up with your database. This way, people think of you when they think of real estate.
If you'll be working as a mortgage broker, I'd imagine your time will be best spent creating and nurturing realtor relationships - you can do this via networking events, social media, calling lists based on who is active in your local market, and you can even find realtor contacts here on BP.

  I appreciate the feedback. I renewed my license back in May so that’s good. Right now I’m looking for part time work maybe 28-32 hours a week. My other free time will be spent building the business.
