We are almost done with renovations and dealing with unforeseen scope of work which I probably should have taken into consideration beforehand but I didn't get a chance to do a thorough inspection considering the condition of the house.But anyhow, I just consider that as an enrollment to the world of real estate investing.

None of this is to scare you away from doing it, because I think it is a needed service, a good thing, and can be a real cash printer, but just wanted to prep you for a potential unforeseen hurdle down the road.Lastly, always make sure that you are compliant with city/county codes and have any required licensing etc.

To me, that says that -- no evidence to the contrary -- he rented out in violation of the town ordinance and (my take) now wants to whine that he got caught.AirBnB and other short term rentals (STR) need to be regulated because they impose externalities on neighbors and deprive local governments of revenue and -- depending on circumstances -- pose unfair competition on local hostelries.
