Give him the reason according to the lease and tell them they should surrender the property by the end of the last date of this contract.

Landlords might say that the tenant doesn't have to sign such a contract, but when 99% of local apartment complexes use the same lease language, it's hard to find a place to live without surrendering.

If the property was surrendered by notice and surrender of keys, I would have no problem disposing of the property.

The only way to actually get your money out is to either die (not ideal) or surrender the policy, which usually comes with penalties and taxes.
