The latter have blowers & the dissipation of heat is amazing.When we had to upgrade our fire prevention systems (& add fire sprinkler heads) to meet new building codes, we were grandfathered in on some issues because we did not have forced air heat & vents that heat & smoke can travel through in case of fire.We have another property with a circa 2002 steam heat boiler system.

HI Jake, Theses are the zip codes that we always look at. 49504, 49503, 49534, 49544 because we have lived in all those areas and we know  what a great part of town these zip codes represent. 

The listing agent advised me that it's a concrete building not up to code and therefore won't qualify for FHA financing, but it will qualify for conventional financing.  

What is the age of the building and what will need to be done to bring it up to code?
