Its a requirement by the lender but if you owned the condo free and clear then you could technically elect not to have HO6 or walls in coverage for your condominium.Technically you could probably cancel but if the lender finds out we'll make you repurchase a HO6 policy or we'll purchase one for you and have you pay for it.
