John Lopez

I am a full time Professional Geologist working for an environmental consulting firm in Charlotte. A significant portion of the work we do includes due diligence for property transactions (Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments). When I'm not doing the geology thing, I am trying to feed my desire to grow my net worth. Like many others on here, I was initially inspired by reading Rich Dad Poor Dad. I did not have the capital (or so I thought) at the time to invest in real estate, but several years later (in 2011) my wife and I were able to purchase our second primary home and we "backed up" into becoming landlords on our first primary home. After several years of trial and error (and finding BP), we have refined our model and expanded it to include a few more deals. I am still trying to learn more everyday, and I am excited about our future.
