I am a buy-and-hold real estate investor in La Crosse, WI. I organize the La Crosse REIA, which meets the second Wednesday of each month at 7pm. In the future, I plan to continue investing in rental properties and I hope to grow into larger apartment buildings. Outside of real estate investing, I am an economics professor in La Crosse, WI. I have an empirical background and I studied real estate a little bit when finishing my Ph.D. My wife and I bought our first rental in 2015. I would also like to acquire one property to hold and rent each year. Long-term: Build a diverse rental portfolio for monthly income and maintain enough capital to flip properties using cash. Currently Seeking: I would like to team with a contractor and investors. I used a team of contractors in some work on my last two projects; they did great work, but they were expensive and my project was definitely not their number one priority. I have a great relationship with a local bank and prequalified financing, but I would like to decrease my use of the relatively high fixed costs of using mortgage-based financing.
