I'm a full time member of the United States Army and am enjoying every bit of it with my beautiful family. I'm a life long learner and enjoy researching investment strategies. I took the plunge into real estate by utilizing a VA Loan to purchase my first SFH which since then has now served as an investment property. Experience: I had stumbled upon a podcast from biggerpockets and as they say, that's all she wrote. I was tired of paying rent for someone else's property so I decided to do the research and purchase my first home. It was such a great experience, I turned that property into an investment property and am looking to continue this trend with more properties. Real Estate Goals: My goal is to acquire at least (2) Multifamily properties each year that meet my investment criteria of no less than 15% CoC Return and meets at least 1.50% of the 2% rule. I eventually want to have enough units so that I reach that "magic number" as stated in one of the podcasts to have enough passive income coming in each month that will allow me to turn full time investor / husband / father! Prior to joining the military I served as a full time professor in the areas of both psychology and leadership studies. Education has always been a passion of mine and truly one of my strengths as a lecturer/facilitator. I plan to take all of my learning lessons (both good and bad) throughout my investment journey and pay it forward to those looking to begin their own start in real estate!
