I began investing with two multis around 2002, 14 units but sold out to my partner around 2006 when I ended up with a SFH. Sold that and took a vacation from long term rentals until 2012 when I bought a building with an ADU. Since then I’ve taken on a full time W-2 job mostly to acquire health insurance and some help getting mortgages. I’ve sold the large property with the ADU and bought a duplex and a SFH. As of the start of 2021 I bought a 4 unit 2/20/21 and should close on a 3 unit by the end of 6/21. I’ve since grown to 7 buildings with 25 doors as of 7/23 and continuing to grow as fast as makes sense.
