Hi there! My husband and I technically got started in real estate investing 7 years ago when we bought a duplex in Ann Arbor, lived in the bottom unit, and paid for most of the mortgage with rent from the tenant upstairs. Since then we've moved out, renovated both units, and have enjoyed steady cash flow since. Over the past 7 years, we've been focused on our 9-5 jobs but are ready to get serious with real estate investing, with the goal of achieving financial freedom in the next 10 years (specifically defined as being able to choose to work 9-5, vs. needing to for the income). I'd love to connect with other investors in the SE Michigan area, and especially interested in connecting with local contractors and investors interested in multi-family rentals.
