I formed an LLC with family members to diversify our portfolio and do well by doing good: we chose tenants, first, then found a property in Arkansas they liked and could afford and bought it using a HELOC. Their rent covers running costs, the other unit covers debt payment. We would like to repeat the experiment again soon.
