Alissa Rodman

My name is Alissa and I was born and raised in west Texas. Currently, I live in Round Rock, north of Austin. I am a full-time dental hygienist who has always been interested in real estate but too busy raising three children on my own and working full-time in my career for the past 13+ years, real estate was unintentionally put on the back burner until recently. One day I was taking care of a patient and she randomly told me I would be good at real estate. She happened to be a Realtor for over 20 years. That comment reignited my interest in real estate. I am currently enrolled in an online real estate school but I am not sure if I necessarily want to be licensed. I am going to complete the courses, though. I am more interested in the investment side of the industry. So, I have been reading every book, watching every YouTube video and webinar/podcast I possibly can; submerging myself in as much knowledge as i can. I have learned a lot by doing so and I am very excited about getting started! My interest is in the buy-and-hold part of investing. I do not have any kind of retirement savings in place and I figure now is the time to get started. I don't want to say, "I wish I would have started sooner" because i can't start sooner at this point in time. I can only start now or later. And I choose now! I look forward to getting to know other people who are involved in real estate investing and learning from them and moving forward in this new journey I have chosen to embark!
