I am new to Real Estate investing and am glad I have found this forum. My aim is to have a portfolio of rentals consisting of single family homes and multi-family units. The intention is to buy and hold. With experience I would like to also enter the rehab and flipping scene, but would only do this if time permits and if the bottom line makes sense. In reading the posts and blogs, I have noticed that there are a lot of very generous people out there. The selflessness is admirable! Here's in hope to achieving my goals! Experience: I have my RE license in Florida, which I have maintained under an "active" status. Unfortunately, I have not made much use of it overall, but I think now it will show up as a blessing in disguise. Real Estate Goals: My aim is to buy an investment or two per year, ONLY IF, the deal is right and it fits the specifications of the portfolio that I want to build. In the next 10 years, I would like to have at least 10-15 of my investments free and clear, allowing me to have some leverage for further pursuance into the business. Currently Seeking: For now, there are 3 types of persons I am looking for. 1) THE PARTNER: What I am looking for in a partner is someone that is aggressive and motivated, yet honest and has the ability to deal with full integrity. People that are creative and solution seekers get additional points and I will partner up with an expert or even a newbie, provided the above criteria is more or less fulfilled. 2) THE FLIPPER: Since my intention is to buy and hold for the long term, coupled with the fact that I have my business to run, I do not mind paying that little extra to the flipper/rehabber/wholesaler for their hard work in finding and updating the property. Location is key!. 3) THE MENTOR: I refuse to pay any "gurus" to "teach" me RE. Ideally, I am looking for a person in my local area that has been in this business for over 10 years and has the willingness to teach. In return, I will allow the utilization of my skills, which has a better return than RE. It will also serve to provide a diversified portfolio for those that take the option. For more details, PM me.
