Hello BP community! Brand new Texan and aspiring real estate investor taking this journey with my wonderful fiance. We are learning as much as possible about REI, the Houston market and creating a strategy that works for us. Initially, we're looking to house hack with a multifamily property or guest house in North West Houston. Ultimately, we'd like to build out our own portfolio of rentals, learn how to be successful landlords and use this as a stepping stone towards financial independence while keeping our day jobs. I spent six years in public accounting at Ernst & Young in their Audit practice serving the real estate industry in Los Angeles. I also spent two years in Financial Reporting for a publicly traded REIT that owns, builds and operates class A real estate on the West Coast.
