Hello BiggerPockets community! Since joining a little over a year ago, I've read, listened, studied, and learned a lot from the BP community, podcasts, and my own research. In that time, I've become pregnant, had a baby, and moved to Hawaii, but my hunger to learn all things REI never faded. I still have so much to learn, but now, it's time to dive in and get our first property! Experience: We kind of fell into real estate investing as homeowners when I house-hacked my first home and my husband rehabbed and rented out his first home when he moved away. But this is our first INTENTIONAL journey into the world of real estate investing. Real Estate Goals: We would like to use the buy & hold strategy, possibly the BRRRR method when appropriate, to purchase multifamily properties from the start. After listening to podcasts and talking to other investors, we're convinced that we want to start our REI journey with multifamily properties from the get go to meet our goal of producing strong cashflow, reducing vacancy, and setting the foundation to scale. Currently Seeking: My husband and I are currently looking to make an offer on our first property to implement a buy & hold strategy. We're looking for a multifamily property ranging from a duplex to an 8-unit with strong cashflow in a C+ or better neighborhood. We are okay with a mild to moderate rehab to get the property rent-ready. We have over $200k of capital to start with, and we're ready to move quickly when we find the right property. Most importantly, we want to find good and honest realtors, brokers, PMs, lenders, and contractors to work with for a long-term venture.
