Aveda Frederic's Institute student and soon to be licensed cosmetologist and (graduating around September 2020) working part time in that industry (not able to work full time due to health issues. One of my many reasons why I desire financial independence!) I'd like to invest in salon suites, multi family homes, SFH and apartments to rent out in Detroit, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana and then expand out to more states. I'm new to real estate investing so I may have to start out with either an FHA, FHA 203 K or owner financed properties since I don't have much of a credit history(my score is around 600) or a high income. ***I'm also very open to other forms of low/no money down approaches as well*** ***I'm ready and willing to partner/assist/volunteer with others so please let me know! If I'm not able to do this for the 2020 it WILL be done in 2021. -Save enough for at least 20% down to avoid the mortgage insurance, a bit more for closing costs and 3- 6 months worth of savings. -Getting a membership through the CIREIA (Central Indiana Real Estate Investor Association) to gain knowledge, network and volunteer.
