I have been investing in SFRs since 1998. I started with a house hack in graduate school and have been falling ever more in love with this industry since. These days, my old hat is buy, fix, and hold rental SFRs in California. In addition to old hat projects, I'm trying a new hat that involves rehabbing/new construction of multi-unit residential. I'm particularly interested in using modular construction for upcoming projects. In a former life for 10 years, I was an environmental geologist/engineer investigating and remediating private, public, and military industrial sites throughout California and nationally. Outside of investing, other identities that are important to me: husband, father, social dancer, burner, climber, traveler, athlete, and epicurian. We have done very well in San Francisco Bay Area and West Los Angeles real estate. Looking to expand the portfolio in Texas and possibly other sunbelt states. Gotta go where the growth is happening . . .
