I'm a software developer for a Wall Street firm who loves real estate. I got into real estate investing back in 2005, not knowing a single thing about it. The single family home that I bought doubled in price in a matter of a couple of years and I was considering selling but then the 2008 market crash took place and my property lost more than half its value which meant I had to hold on to it for a long time (I still have it). This experience left a bad taste and I stayed away from real estate until I found BiggerPockets in 2017 which got me back into investing. Now my goal is to acquire enough properties to hopefully someday replace my income so that I can retire early.
