We currently own a 4 unit in Phoenix but live in the Bay area of CA. We bought that property in 2006 so we have had some ups and downs but it has worked out okay. We have also owned a couple of 2 flats in Chicago in the past which we also lived in at some points. We would like to add some additional units within the next 3-5 years. And I could probably improve upon the place we already own. In the past I worked in the mortgage industry and the tax industry. I am currently a Quickbooks certified proadvisor working as a freelance bookkeeper with several small businesses in construction.
