Wife and I own and manage seven units in the Louisville, KY area. Members of KREIA. Specialize in long-term buy and holds. Looking to meet others like-minded with whom teamwork can accomplish our RE plans. I want to expand into as many aspects of the RE investing industry (househack, fix/flip, 1031s, commercial, etc.) as makes sense for our goal. Goal: Make at least 10x per month in cash flow what we spend (to comfortably cover healthcare costs). Strategy: Use creative combinations of FHA and VA to househack and use W-2 income and HELOCs to buy cash flow properties. Beginning to read about BRRRR, in David Greene's book. Favorite Book: The Bible. Check these out: “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and hid again. And from the joy over that field, he sells all that he has, and buys that field” (Matthew 13:44). In God’s house, there “are many dwelling places.” Jesus Christ goes there ahead of us to prepare for us a place (John 14:2). In addition, “…we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens” (2 Corinthians 5:1). “Every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God” (Hebrews 3:4). And “you also, as living stones, are being built up as a spiritual house…to offer up spiritual sacrifices to God through Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 2:5). BiggerPockets members! Please allow me to share a thought… “If we all benefit from the profits of earthly real estate investment, by how much more will we benefit—if we invest in heaven’s real estate?” Second Favorite Book: The Millionaire Mind, by Thomas J. Stanley. Author interviews American self-made millionaires to learn how they succeeded in even the most obscure industries (including real estate). The book is about finding ones' personal strengths and leveraging those strengths in specific markets to serve the customer in spite of obstacles. And never giving up. Favorite Hobbies: Spending time with family. In our blended family we have eight dependents. As for my wife and I, we enjoy working out together. We also love to dance Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, and Merengue! Join us for beginner's class, Thursday nights, 8pm, $7 per person, at 2787 S. Floyd St. across from the UofL Cardinal Stadium. Greatest Triumph: Getting married and restarting my RE business together with my wife after a major life setback.
