(2016) Hello All, I am a graduate from the University of Nebraska and work in the construction market. I just recently started listening to the bigger pockets pod cast and I cannot get enough of it. I have the money for investment but I would like to do some more networking and educate myself before jumping into anything. (2019) Fast forward. I currently live in Denver Colorado, have 1 accidental rental, 1 duplex owned in a 50/50 partnership and closing on my first house hack in Arvada Colorado this Friday 4/12/2019. I look back 3 years ago when I originally crated my account and would have never guessed I would be where I am now. I could have not done it without this website and the connections I have made through it. I recently started reading Scott Trenches book "set for life" and can not put it down! It is a complete eye opener. With this new house hack I am in the process of closing, I am hoping to quit my 9-5 and find a new passion to supplement my income. Stay tuned! (2020) Househacking Numbers • Main level, 3bed/2bath. • Mother-in-law suite above attached garage, 1 bed/1 bath • Purchase Price, $435,000 • +/- $25,000 down • Rehab tools and materials for mother-in-law kitchen and bath, +/- $5,000 • Labor cost $0. • Mortgage $2,560/month • Average Airbnb income, $1,950/month. • Renting out one of the main level bedrooms to our sister-in-law, $600/month. • Average monthly mortgage before taxes, $100.
