When I was in my early 20's like a lot of young Jersey guys I liked to go down the shore. Instead of always renting; I found a short sale on a condo. After a few years the market started turning up I was able to sell and did a 1031 and put my profits into a 2 family. After that I was able to take equity out of that and buy a 3 family and so on.. By learning as much as I can on creative financing and fixing everything from changing boiler to electrical panels (youtube) I tried everything I can do to keep my profits up. I started to slowdown on the buy and hold and focusing on my 9-5 but once I heard about Bigger Pockets and started listening to the podcast I'm fired up again. That momentum kept me going moving into the commercial space.
