I recently left the hotel industry where I was a Director of Revenue Management, which gave me a unique perspective on the real estate market from a commercial property management discipline with strengths in determining supply and demand, pricing analysis, yield management standpoint. I have gained valuable insight on revenue management analysis and budget building/modeling and sales and marketing strategy. I've gained valuable experience in ownership relations. I plan to build my initial portfolio of buy and hold rentals of SFH's and small MFH's using the BRRRR method. I plan to grow the portfolio and branch out into large multi-family apartment buildings. I'm eager to begin my real estate journey and look forward to to the endless possibilities that it has to offer for financial independence. My wife and I bought our first property in the historic Dignowity Hill east of downtown San Antonio, where we plan to hold and rent out for the foreseeable future. Our property is currently a full-time short-term rental on AirBnB. We make some supplemental income and have gained very valuable experience in short-term rentals. Which has been way better than I expected. We had two other "rental arbitrage" short-term rental properties, however in this new unfortunate economic environment we've opted to move away from this strategy. I'm currently in the capital accumulation stage, and I'm utilizing wholesaling techniques to target off market deals to find motivated sellers to secure fantastic deals for cash buying investors. In the next 3 months I plan to secure my own off market wholesale deal with cash and or creative financing for my first strictly long-term rental investment property to BRRRR to begin my journey and build my business.
