I bought my first rental property in 2012 as a multi-family house hack. My second property was a duplex purchased in 2013 with seller financing followed by a balloon payment after two years. In 2016 my wife and I bought a home together and rented out the other half of the home I bought in 2012. I now have four rental units in downtown Columbia and am ready to work on getting another multi-family house. I am an assistant principal and my wife is a school administrator.
