I'm in my late 40's, married, been doing IT support for 25 years or so and starting to shift my focus on how to best setup myself for retirement. I've been in that group of folks that consistently have invested in their 401k's/IRA's and saving for the rainy day. Totally dissatisfied with the returns on the stock market and hoping to set up some passive income through Real Estate to make early retirement a reality. Experience: I've bought and sold two properties that I've lived in and then some timeshares. Real Estate Goals: I'd like to get a point where I have enough passive income to replace both my wife's and my income. Currently Seeking: Knowledge. I'm hoping to diversify into markets where I can get single family homes, duplexes or townhomes to rent and have an after expense return of around $200 to $700 per property.
