Well, turning 60 in November and retiring next June. My beautiful new wife will retire one year later. We're both in education up here in the Great White North of Alaska., but we'd like our next profession to be real estate investors. I don't mind working it, I just don't want to have to go the "work box" W2 type job any more. done with that! I am, just to note, experienced at building. We are avid mountain bikers year-round (yes, we bike our fat tire bikes in the winter, along the Iditarod Trail and sometimes on glaciers). We also plan to be "snowbirds" spending our summers in Alaska biking and running our Turo Sprinter van side hustle and traveling the states in our Sprinter build-out looking for bike trails, fun restaurants, and goofy tourist attractions. Ultimately, we plan on building a lower 48 home-base in the Mountain Bike Capital of the World (TM) of Bentonville, AR, eventually buying a house of our own in Bela Vista (across the highway, north of Bentonville). In the meantime, the Bentonville surrounding area is where we are looking for our first purchase of a multi-family property (hopefully a 4-plex, but we'll see what we can swing.) We already have three rentals in Alaska with a 4th coming on line by February '27. We're pretty green at real estate investing, but super excited. We'd like to spend the next 10 years building as big of a portfolio as we can, then settle down and let it ride. We're looking to learn, partner up, do some deals, figure it out and get as much advice as we can.
