My real estate investing journey started in 2012 when I bought my first cash property at age 23 in upstate New York for $26,000. I didn't know it at the time, but I was essentially house hacking. I rehabbed the property over the course of two years, putting a lot of sweat equity and about $5,000 into the property. I bought another house in a neighboring area and turned the original house into a rental, for $825 a month. I eventually sold both properties when I moved out of state, but I wish I would've had David Green's book on Long Distance Real Estate Investing, because I would have held onto the property! Since then, I purchased another primary home for $116K and rehabbed it as well to sell for $205K. I've always been passionate about real estate and am looking to dive deep into more buy-and-hold properties, focusing in the Cincinnati area. I doing a double house hack in PA and OH and growing my portfolio in Cincinnati. Outside of real estate, I do still work a 9-5 job in manufacturing. I am excited to network with other BiggerPockets members and grow my wealth through real estate. I found my Cincinnati real estate agent on BP and have been working with her for almost two years. As of January 2, 2021, I am officially a real estate agent on her team working exclusively with investors. Don't stop dreaming!
