Hello! After paying off $100k in student loans as a commercial real estate broker, I have made the shift from spectator to investor. As a broker in Chicago and Denver, I worked with commercial investors, private equity groups, and publicly traded REITs to lease/manage their commercial assets. My journey through real estate has been somewhat backwards: jump into the big deals as a third party broker/manager and now working back to snowballing my own portfolio. My wife and I bought our first house and of course, we are renting out the basement so our monthly expenses are less than our previous rent.
