Born and raised in Maine, left for Florida for a few years and then moved to Connecticut. Sold all belongings to travel in Asia Pacific with my wife Beth for 3 years plus another 5 years worldwide and during that time bought first investment property (2012). Currently living in Maine/Florida while building up real estate holdings. Currently have 8 buildings giving a total of 24 units. Went to college for an art degree and specialized in photography. Still enjoy taking photos while traveling. Experience: 2012 (3 units) Purchased first 3 unit in December to move family (our moms) into. 2015 (7 units) Bought a 4 unit and moved into one as a personal residence. 2016 (11 units) Purchased a single family and a 3 unit. Did a single family flip for the first time in addition to the two buildings we bought to hold. 2017 (11 units) Finished remodeling the single family and rented it out. 2018 (18 units) Closed on a four unit in January and a three unit in February. Remodeled 3 units & finished lots of maintenance on all the buildings. 2019 (20 units)(6 units PM) Finished remodeling three units. Moved out of the apartment in Maine to live at a camp during the summer and rented the apartment out for more income. Started managing other peoples properties. Bought a duplex in Florida (reward!), living in one side, rented out the other side. 2020 (20 units)(20 units PM) Acquired a blanket mortgage giving access to the equity that has accumulated in the properties. Not to mention a better process to buying future properties. 2021 (24 units)(20 units PM) - Bought a 4 unit in Lewiston, ME. Dropping the property management of other people's property this year and focusing on growing the portfolio. 2022 (22 units) - Sold the duplex in Florida and bought a single family in Port Charlotte on the Myakka River. Working on doubling units this year. Real Estate Goals: Looking to keep adding to my portfolio over the next ten years or so. Currently Seeking: Always checking the Maine market for deals that are interesting.
