I just retired from teaching. This site made me realize I was Home Hacking for years! Teacher in LA meant renting out my two bedrooms - medium term - so I could live rent-free, but not have a "roommate". Now that I am retired, I am moving to Connecticut where I can actually buy something! For my first couple of projects, I want to buy 2-4 plexus so I can house hack. I have an interior design background (before I was a teacher) so I think I would enjoy sweat equity. I am open to ideas and love to think outside the box. I know I need a mentor(s), but for now my meters with be people on this site, Youtube, and books.
