Investor
I spent my corporate career designing sales compensation and incentive programs in the banking and healthcare distribution industries — building the structures that kept talented people motivated and tied to their paychecks. The system worked exactly as intended. It just wasn’t built to make anyone free, and one day I realized my own financial future depended entirely on the same paycheck. That sent me looking for a smarter path. My first real estate investment was a 17-story office building in Cleveland, and it set me on the passive-investing road for good. I eventually liquidated my 401(k) and moved my capital fully to the passive side of the fence. In 2020 I co-founded Left Field Investors — a community of like-minded passive investors growing wealth through syndications. It grew to thousands of members and was acquired by BiggerPockets; it’s now PassivePockets. That experience showed me a gap I couldn’t ignore: there’s a shortage of quality education for people who want to invest passively but don’t know where to start. New investors are eager but overwhelmed, and most resources assume you already know the basics. That’s why I started CARE — Chad Ackerman Real Estate, a passive real estate education company built for exactly those people. I’m an educator and fellow investor, not a financial advisor or a guru on a stage or a capital raiser. My goal is to help people get educated and build real confidence before they ever commit a dollar to a deal. The question I hear most is the one I once asked myself: “I know I should be doing this — but how do I get started?” If that’s you, I built a free Starter Kit for exactly that first step → https://chadackermanrealestate.com/starter-kit?utm_source=passivepockets&utm_medium=profile&utm_campaign=pp_presence
