Denver's investor-friendly agent I'm Chad Rocke, Director of Sales at The FI Team with eXp Realty. I help investors and homebuyers buy and sell single-family homes and investment properties across Denver. Since April 2021 I've personally closed more than 150 transactions. I've also coached and mentored agents through hundreds more. The FI Team was founded by Craig Curelop, author of The House Hacking Strategy. I invest too. I own 11 rental doors across two states: rent-by-the-room, short-term, furnished mid-term and long-term rentals. I've done fix-and-flips and creative finance deals, including subject-to and seller financing. My wife Meghan, our daughter Olive and I live in Denver's Wash Park neighborhood. Using my agent commission and some creative negotiating, I was paid $30k to buy our house. We rent out the detached ADU, which cuts our mortgage about in half. I got hooked on real estate in 2015, when I house hacked a duplex in Milwaukee. I grew up in Wisconsin, earned a business finance degree from UW-Milwaukee and started out in mutual fund sales. Then rent checks started paying my mortgage and I never looked back. Meghan and I made a quick stop in San Diego before Denver won us over.
