I recently left a long career in sales to focus on on my real estate full time. I have been a real estate investor for the past 20 years. I have three adult children and my two adult sons work with me in real estate as well. My nephew involved as well and the four of us have purchased 4 investment properties together. My oldest son and I also have a separate entity that now owns 2 multi-family investment properties. Experience: Bought my first house in 1992 and my first investment property in 2002. I now own 19 units (12 properties). I flipped a house in 2017 that my son and I purchased late in 2016. That flip helped him finance his first investment property on his own. In 2018 I am expanding my portfolio and just acquired a new duplex here. I am also in the process of acquiring a vacation rental on a lake in central Wisconsin which will be posted on AirBnB in the next few months. Real Estate Goals: I have a couple of goals driving me: 1. I am focused on real estate being the gateway for early retirement for me. My financial goal is to be at the point that I can leave my day job before age 50 (I will turn 50 in 2018). While this may be a stretch goal at this point, I am not giving up on it. 2. I want to build a rental business with my two sons. We have a partnership established as the conduit for that venture and are currently exploring properties in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin metro area where they both reside. Currently Seeking: I need to find more deals in Wisconsin. Primarily in the duplex, four-plex or smaller commercial rental areas.
