I'm a content professional, moved from Silicon Valley to Spokane WA, working in & around tech for almost 20 years now. I'm on BP because even with my (halfway decent) income, I'm not sure I could ever retire. Not that I mind working, but I would like to own some property when older. If I can use said property to store retirement funds, and/or sustain me during retirement, all the better. Experience: In 2021 I picked up my first SFH. No investments yet, but I'm working on it. Real Estate Goals: I would like to own several multifamily units and my own home+acreage. That way I can live comfortably, while the multifamily tenants pay the bills. It would also mean I have a comfortable retirement in place by selling properties. Finally, I have nieces & nephews. I would like to provide them with hard assets they can count upon. I did not grow up with any such assets available to me...but I can make their lives, and mine, better. Currently Seeking: Right now I need to move! I'm stuck in Silicon Valley for now, but plan to move to Washington State in 2020. Tacoma or Vancouver area; not sure yet. I plan to house-hack a small multifamily. When I've moved, I can begin to expand the portfolio. Not that I'm opposed to buying out of state now, of course. Also interested in notes.
