I'm new to RE investing, but I'm really excited about its prospects. My wife and I have been accidental landlords for 7 years now, and while it hasn't been perfectly smooth we've been fortunate so far mainly because of our due diligence. I'm looking to begin purchasing additional properties to increase my passive income to a point where I can leave my day job and spend more time with my family. I look forward to making my first purchase this year! I'd love to connect with private money lenders, wholesalers, and others in the area (and even outside the area) so we can see how we can help each other. If you're someone with experience who would like to mentor someone just getting started, I'd love to chat! As I said, I am someone who would like to be able to spend more time with my family, and I am determined to make it happen! My REI goals: - Have the option of “retiring” within 10 years (and hopefully much sooner!). Will need 67 units averaging $150/month cash flow to make $120k a year. All of the cash flow during this time will be rolled into additional investments. - Purchase my first unit by the end of 2018. - Purchase two more units by the end of 2019. - Purchase four more units by the end of 2020. - Purchase ten more units in each of the next 6 years.
