I own 1 investment property and I live in a house hack in the Chicago Suburbs. I am working on learning more about the local market, building my network, and of course looking for the next deal. I'd like to continue house-hacking as I scale up as well as collecting other investment properties in the 2-4 unit space as I am able to. I have been looking for light rehab opportunities to allow for some forced appreciation. I plan on holding properties for the medium term and using tools such as cash-out refinances and 1031 exchanges to scale up.
