With 12 years of corporate selling experience, I'm returning to the real estate industry in a few months. I failed miserably after the 2008 mortgage crisis. After 2014, I started a consulting firm to help myself and others with the four main components of selling: contacting, prospecting, appointment setting and closing. Although there is some crossover in corporate and independent selling, independent sales did not have the structure corporate sales does. So I created a sales system for independent sales. My favorite business person is the late Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, who started his business from scratch as many people thought he would not succeed.
