Clayton Mobley

I am the President and Co-Founder of Spartan Value Investors, a real estate investment conglomerate based out of Birmingham, Alabama. With Spartan Value Investors we buy, renovate, and sell properties to home buyers seeking a top quality, move-in ready home. With our other two companies, Spartan Invest and Alabama Rental Property, we purchase, renovate, sell, and manage property for our investor clients that are seeking a consistent, reliable, above average return on their investment. My educational background is in the field of quantitative finance, but most of my professional work has been in management/leadership. I've held various positions in the leadership field including Operations Manager of a large fireworks store, Plant Manager of an industrial laundry facility, and now President and Co-Founder of a real estate investment company. I currently reside in Homewood, Alabama with my wife Rachel and our dog Layla. I like to hang out on the lake in the summer and smoke delicious Alabama style BBQ in the winter. Also, I love to cheer on the Alabama Crimson Tide whenever they're on the field. Experience: Even while working at other jobs, I've always been an aspiring real estate investor. It started with the purchase of my first rental property my Freshman year of college and has developed into founding a company that has purchased, renovated, and managed over 600 properties. Spartan started in 2010 with a mere $270K in assets and $112K in total revenue. At the end of 2017, we now have over $11.4M in assets and our revenue should top the $23M mark. Even though we are happy with our current success, we are NEVER satisfied and always striving to make ourselves smarter investors and better business people. At Spartan, We are a white-collar company with a blue-collar heart. We are fun but fierce. We believe that integrity is the indispensable quality upon which all other values must stand. We understand that our natural tendencies can be irrational and emotional, we strive to be dispassionately objective in all that we do. We strive to be extremely focused: committed to only entering into investments and business ventures in which we have a strong competitive advantage. We believe what the Great Buffet says - that companies fail to "stick with what they understand and let their abilities, not their egos, determine what they attempt". We believe that hard work and intelligence are the foundations for all sound investments. We LOVE helping people create wealth through real estate and outside the box thinking. We are committed to working harder than the rest and sometimes going to incredible lengths to verify new ventures and eliminate risk, so our investors can continue to experience that consistent above average return at below average risk that they have come to know and expect.
