I manage all back-office operations for a 40-property short-term rental portfolio in Old Town Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Cave Creek where the avg home value runs about $1.5M. That means TPT filings, city license renewals, owner invoicing, P&L reporting, compliance monitoring, and PMS rollout/management — every month, for a portfolio that can't afford mistakes. I became licensed in 2019 after 6 yrs as a Personal Banker at Chase, where I learned that financial accuracy and back-office discipline aren't optional — they're the whole job. I've listed luxury homes in Arcadia, helped clients massively negotiate down purchase prices in the hottest market of Arizona (Old Town Scottsdale) and launched numerous Airbnb listings from scratch. I've spent years getting deep in the Arizona STR compliance landscape — TPT, Maricopa County registrations, city licensing across the Arizona Valley, and the HOA/CC&R layer that catches a lot of operators off guard. I launched Barrett Advisories LLC to bring that same back-office infrastructure to other STR managers in the Az market who are running serious portfolios but spending too much time working in their business rather than growing their business. Outside of work I'm a private pilot and a competitive athlete. I love a challenge and value things that require precision and commitment — which probably explains the career path and my desire to teach other hopeful student pilots how to fly one day.
