I'm a native of Middle Tennessee. I attempted to be a real estate investor a few years ago. I spent about 9 months at it. I did not have the drive, determination, competitiveness, or risk tolerance to succeed. I loaned money one time, which worked out well. But I abandoned real estate and got rid of my license as well. At the moment, I'm working a 6-month contract job in Houston, TX as a geologist for a major oil company. Supposed to be finished in March 2020. Then I could be moving back to Nashville. Potentially, I could see myself working a full time job while investing on the side. But that might not happen until next year or even later.
