Retired from the Navy and then again from Government Service. Have four single family home rentals and looking to start investing in multi-family. Experience: I purchased my first rental property in 2001. The experience was very good and I sold the property two years later with a 350% total ROI. My second rental property was purchased in 2007, unfortunately the market crashed shortly afterward and although I had a positive cash flow on the property, I couldn't wait to get out from under it since I was doing the property management and repairs myself. Made money on the sale, but more importantly I learned what I don't want to do. Since then I purchased 3 more rental properties and house hacked my fourth (two houses on one five acre property). I have a property manager that takes care of all the headaches I used to have at only $100 per property. Besy money I ever spent. I have a little more money to invest and am interested in the BRRRR strategy. Real Estate Goals: I would like a cash-flow from properties that will supplement my pensions without watching my net worth depreciate. I like rental properties more than the idea of an annuity. Currently Seeking: Although I have had some success buying and renting properties, I would like a mentor to help me become more proficient.
