I've just moved to the Piedmont Triad NC for a job transfer in 2015. Once I got here, I started to read about real estate as an investment and feel like that's the path for me to financial stability. My first deal was a owner occupied duplex using FHA. I would like to build a buy and hold portfolio, but I'm open to fix and flip units as well. I've signed up to bigger pockets due to the wealth of information and connections that can be utilized.
