Finding ways to be creative in a down market, I flipping vacant lots bought at local auctions and selling them directly to neighbors as a way to make some cash and learn more about the processes After my wife and I relocated to Tennessee we bought our first home together which we later converted into a rental as our family grew. In 2019 I got licensed as a real estate agent to help with my own investing. As I worked to learn more about investing in real estate I found BiggerPockets.com and binged on the content. I started to have out-of-state investors reach out to me through BiggerPockets asking for help investing in the Knoxville and Eastern Tennessee market. I was and am happy to help. I quickly found that I enjoyed helping others build their portfolios. After 2 years of of helping investors and friends buy real estate in Knoxville and East Tennessee we launched our own investor meetup and have grown that community to over 2000 local investors. I now have a team and partners across East Tennessee that are specialized in helping investors. My portfolio today consists of 2 long-term rentals and 2 student rentals in Knoxville + our primary. I am interested in connecting with buyers, sellers, contractors, property management professionals, other investors, and local East Tennessee business owners (does not need to be a real estate related business).
