I am married with 2 adult children and 3 exuberant grandkids! I spent 25 years in pastoral ministry and continue to consult, do interim work and travel overseas. We started with a 4-plex and two other partners in 1990. Over the years we bought, sold, did 1031’s until we acquired 17 homes/duplexes. We then did a 1031 of 8 homes into a 42 door mixed-use building. Later we refinanced and took cash out to purchase a 24 unit apartment. As our partner’s circumstances changed we have bought each of them out. I have continued to develop our portfolio to 100+ units while working toward being less engaged in daily operations and more passive, including participating in syndications. We enjoy traveling to various corners of the world, food, and continuing to learn!
