My name is Dale Lotts. I bought my first investment property in 1994 - it had been on the market for nearly one year and smelled of cat pee - my plan was to flip it, but it took 6 years to fix it up! It was worth it in the end because I sold it for twice what I paid. I've learned a lot since then, and I still have a lot more to learn. I am also an experienced software engineer. I helped build a software company that is now the largest in the world in its industry. I would like to put my software engineering skills to use and write some software solutions for rental property owners and managers like myself. However, I need to learn more about the needs of potential customers before I can do that. =) Experience: I currently own 8 rental units between MN and WI - considering selling the WI properties. What I have learned: You are better off having a vacancy than a problematic tenant. You can fix a vacancy. Real Estate Goals: 30K per month in net passive income.
