Dan Butler

I am originally from Greenville, SC. Throughout high school I was mentored by someone who bought real estate as a long term wealth building strategy. In 1998 I moved to Memphis to pursue a career in manufacturing. I took the key learnings from my mentor in high school and applied them to real estate in Memphis. I bought my first apartment building in 2001. For the last 13 years, we have focused on purchasing small apartment complexes, duplexes and single family homes. I worked in manufacturing for 13 years while building my rental portfolio. I worked for a Fortune 500 company overseeing plant operations all across the US. Traveling the US for my day job allowed me time at night and early mornings to build my real estate portfolio. I left my manufacturing career in September 2014 to pursue real estate full-time. I have a wife and two kids. Outside of real estate, I enjoy running, lifting, fishing and spending time experiencing new things with the family. Experience: My partner and I started purchasing rental properties in Memphis in 2001. We currently own hundreds of homes throughout the mid-south (Memphis, North MS and Tipton County) We started a property management company that manages thousands of houses for investors who look to grow their portfolios and who have a focus on long-term cash flow. We started a rehab and maintenance service company that rehabs 100+ houses per month and completes 150+ service work orders per week. Real Estate Goals: To help others build a portfolio of rental properties and to pay off our personal portfolio of houses in less than 10 years.
