A former service US Marine, I have 35+ years as a Union carpenter. By The Way, It's SMYTH, and not Smith! Grandpa said that I get in enough trouble with my own name, and I don't need to be confused with another! My carpentry jobs have really kept me busy lately. Fall on it's way, I am gearing down to put a few more properties under my portfolio. Looking for a Rockford Illinois or Southern Wisconsin area 4-plex that needs help. Owner financing for a year would be great, as I usually have these things making cash in 6 months from purchase. Why still working as a carpenter? Long story short, I was all but disabled before I started with real estate investing. Covid came, and I managed to all of a sudden figure out what was making me sick! Now I am fully functional, and really LOVE working! So, my real estate prospects allow me to buy those extra things in life, and work the jobs that are fulfilling to me. As well, Real estate investing has made it easier for me to take 6 months off from a {job} and not worry about how to pay my bills. It's a new kind of power! No, I am not rich by any means, but I am not afraid of where my next buck is coming from either!
