Hello BP, I'm Daniel. I joined on the community on June 11, 2018 and now that I've done some navigating, I realize there is absolutely nothing I can do about the reputations that precede me. Like most, I hope to be judged and held accountable for my own actions. I aim to represent both myself and my professional associates with the utmost integrity, dignity, and respect. I recently started as a loan officer with Sherman Bridge in late July, 2018 after spending about 2 years in loan compliance so I'm extremely excited and enthused about being in this space now. Before stepping into the Mortgage Banking industry, I worked in Hospitality for well over a decade as a managing partner in a bar before selling in 2013. The degree of effort it took to establish and build the lasting relationships, which will always remain with me, stands out in my mind as one of the greatest personal efforts I have ever put towards any project, much of the motivation was fueled by adverse situations. My goals as a lender don't change much from being myself. I hope to carry myself with a learners mind, treat others as I would like to be treated, and to perpetually progress. This said, I will always work to provide truth and understanding and encourage two things: 1) invest time in thought. 2) strive to make the best decisions through education, planning, and preparation. The greatest values in my life are the interactions and relationships I have with my family, friends, and colleagues; without, I am truly void of purpose and inspiration. I'd like to end with some great words of inspiration from the late, great basketball coach Jim Valvano, RIP '93: "When people say to me how do you get through life or each day, it’s the same thing. To me, there are three things we all should do every day. We should do this every day of our lives. Number one is laugh. You should laugh every day. Number two is think. You should spend some time in thought. Number three is you should have your emotions moved to tears, could be happiness or joy. But think about it. If you laugh, you think and you cry, that’s a full day. That’s a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you’re going to have something special." BP Fam, my door is always open.
