Dan Schemerhorn has been an entrepreneur since the age of ten. His first business was a newspaper carrier, having to learn simple billing and book keeping skills. Dan’s first partnership began at the age of thirteen selling jewelry as a door to door salesman with his best friend. At the age of nineteen, he worked his first sales position selling audio equipment at a local retail store, at that time Dan realized he had a knack for sales. Dan knew that working hard for other people is not the life he wanted and started reading all he could find on self-help, real estate and business related books. At the age of 25 Dan bought his first three-unit building with no money down and fixed it himself. He bought his next two-unit building a year later also with no money down. Dan then was able to buy a single family home and rehabbed it for himself. Over the next ten years Dan spent his time in corporate America working as a top sales agent and was promoted and became a top corporate trainer for his company. Then because of downsizing the company he worked for eliminated his position. What does he do now? Go out and find another corporate position working for someone else, making them money? NO!
