I've always thought than owning and renting property would be my end goal. Why not find a way to let other people build my wealth and why should I keep giving my money to someone else that's doing exactly what my long-term plans are? I'm learning as much as I can about this process. Soon I will be 100% debt free and I'll be saving toward my first purchase which will likely be a 'house hack' with an FHA loan. I just need to save a bit for the down payment and my emergency fund and I'll be ready to go. Just need to decide where this grand plan will take me. My optimistic timeline is in approximately late 2017 but my realistic timeline may be early to mid 2018.
